On 10 December 2026 Juozas Vitkus-Kazimieraitis would have turned 125. The anniversary is being marked in schools, communities, families and churches across Lithuania.

Exhibition “Not one step from my land” at the Seimas
Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Gallery of the Defenders of Freedom · Gedimino pr. 53, Vilnius
On Colonel Juozas Vitkus-Kazimieraitis’s actual birthday, exactly 125 years on, an exhibition dedicated to him, “Not one step from my land”, opens in the Seimas Gallery of the Defenders of Freedom. Kazimieraitis’s words, which became the title of the exhibition, recall his choice to stay with his people and his land to the end.
